Later that day their mom read them a bedtime story saying,
" When Earth was attacked by Satan, all seemed lost until God sent His knight to protect His people. After the war, God's army prevailed, but it wasn't over; demons began to emerge as Satan spread his power throughout the world. The demons fed on the evil of the Earth to survive and be reborn. So, God bestowed special powers upon every human, to fight this demons so we could live happily ever after."
"Cool! , are the heroes still alive "
"Yes, they are fighting demons as we speak, they are led by the king of heroes who is only second to the king ".
"I've made up my mind , I'm gonna be the best hero there is and then become the king of heroes.", Mikel said as he stood on the bed and made a heroic pose.
" cut it out Mikel isn't that a thing for the Nobles ",Amia said.
"Old man John told me that no matter what dream you have,never give up until you persevere , I'm not gonna let some Nobles stop me "
"That's true, but it's time for bad now , sweet dreams ", Their mom kissed them on forehead.
As she was leaving the room Raven tightly held her arm as he said,
" Mom is it okay for me too..., to want to be a her..I mean the king of heroes to"
"Of course honey you all can, when you get your powers at the age of twelve that is . Now goodnight my little ones ".
"Goodnight mom!", they replied cheerfully.
"But you know Raven there can only be one king of heroes "
"I guess we'll see who between us will achieve their goal," Mikel said.
"It's a challenge then",Raven said.
"Deal".
Amia sighed.
Later on they worked hard competing on everything they did. Until they reached the age of twelve .
"Raven what power did you get? ", Amia asked.
"Gravitational magic "Raven said.
"What about you Mikel?".
"My powers haven't shown up yet, I guess I'm a late bloomer ", Mikel replied.
"I see"
"Did you see Raven's power , it's pretty cool!", A child said to the other children while they were preparing for sleep.
"Yeah, Mikel stands no chance now since he has no magic. I mean he did work hard but I guess it all comes down to talent. Raven was born a genius unlike him.", one of the children said while playing with his doll.
Mikel who was eavesdropping on their conversation opened the door and went towards the boy. He grabbed him by the neck and said,
"Take that back right now!"
"Even if I take it back , it is the truth. Accept it just like John always says ,"It is what it is"
Infuriated Mikel punched him and he fell unconscious, bleeding on the ground. Some of the children screamed while some ran to inform their mom.
"His a monster ", they said.
"I didn't mean to,I...I was just angr...I", Mikel was overwhelmed by fear. He ran away from the commotion and went to were John and his friends layed.
"Hahaha! ,so what did he do after you punched him ", One of the man asked John as they circled on the fire and roasted each of their individual share of bear meat that they had hunted.
"Well he...",John stopped looking at Mikel.
"What brings you hear kiddo", John asked his voice feeling concerned.
"I don't think it's okay for me to become a hero anymore", Mikel said tearfully.
"After having so much dedication what happened?", John asked.
"What if no one believes in me, what if th-"
"I thought you were smarter than that Mikel. Who cares what people think about you, you don't need fame to become a hero. We are all heroes in our own way anyway. Well what I'm really trying to say I guess is, A lot of people are going to hate you or judge you as you go for your goal, but even if everyone hate you it doesn't matter since you'll die alone anyway."
"Sleep hear with us for the night , it would be scary if you walked alone in the dark ",one of the man said.
"Not really but okay ", Mikel complide .
He was later woken very early in the morning by a conversation between John and his mom .
"So how's this kid who got punched by Mikel been doing? ", John asked.
"His dead", Mikel's mom replied.
A few months later...
"Do you think it's okay to let those three go hunting on their own?", Mikel's mom asked.
"Amia isn't really going to hunt , but those two need to complete their final test after training for so long",John replied
"It's been so many years I almost forgot you used to be a hero ".
"I'd have forgotten too , if it wasn't for those kids"
"I trained them myself so they won't die that easily ".
"We would be luck to even find a rabbit hear. How does John and his friends even hunt over hear?", Amia asked.
Mikel and Raven remained quite as they walked deeper and deeper intoo the forest. Mikel came intoo an abrupt stop and raised his hand indicating them to do the same thing.
The growling which Mikel heared came closer and closer as they waited. Impatiently Mikel walked forward towards the noise while saying,
"So this is were the actual monster has been hiding, maybe if I kill you I can prove once and for all who the actual monster is ",Mikel said.
"Mikel we can't just attack without a plan , hey are you listening!",Amia shouted.
The huge bear revealed itself from deep within the woods . It's mouth drooling as if it hadn't eaten in years. Mikel walked towards it carefree . The bear ran towards Mikel, delited by the free meal which was served to it.
"If I kill you, and I kill all the monsters which follow after you. I'll prove that I'm not a monster ", Mikel muttered to himself as he walked towards the bear.
The bear lipped in an attempt to nock Mikel over, but Mikel swiftly grabbed it by the mouth and tore it. He then proceeded to slam it on the ground and punch it over and over with a grin on his face as some blood splashed on it.
"Mikel stop the bear's dead already !", Amia shouted at Mikel.
Mikel ignored her and kept punching the bear . "Now I can't tell whose more of a monster, you or the bear "Amia said.
Amia then proceeded to slap Mikel still telling him to stop. Mikel's gaze finally fixed on Amia . He grabbed her hand with his bloody hands as he said ,
"What did I do wrong , I'm just trying to fit in with you people!. I'm not a monster that bear is "
"Mikel stop you're hurting me", Amia cried out.
Raven swiftly approached Mikel and gave him a nerve wracking punch to the face. Mikel brassed his fall by grabbing on to Raven's clothes and he then proceeded to punch him back.
"You want a fight , trying to be the hero I see. Well come a defeat the monster infront of you if you can", Mikel said with a smirk.
They both made a reasonable distance between each other before Raven said , "Don't take this personally Mikel, but I'm about to beat the sense out of you", Raven said returning the smirk.
"Stop!", Amia bleated out as they charged at each other.

They proceeded to throw punches at each other , dodging and retaliating.
Mikel grabbed Raven's arm and tossed him at a tree. He moved swiftly towards him ready to slam him on it.
Raven dodged the punch by going behind the tree. Before he could catch his breath, Mikel kicked the tree along with Raven's ribs . The huge tree fell leaving only the stem.
Mikel moved elegantly matching his movements with the trees around them, making it hard for Raven to tell which direction Mikel would be attacking from. This also made his Gravitational magic useless.
Raven did his best to block and retaliate, but as this proved to be futile. He used his Gravitational magic to jump above the trees and hovered staring down trying to see were Mikel was .
He noticed a few moments later that Mikel was behind him ready to dropkick him on the head. As if on impules , he managed to block the kick with his arms. But because of the sheer force he crashed intoo the ground.
He's arms almost shattered along with his legs, he removed his arms from his face . But he was met with Mikel's grin as he dropped down ready to punch him again.
"Intertain me more brother!",Mikel said
Raven used his Gravitational magic to swiftly move his body with only a scratch on the mouth.
His body trembled from the shock wave of the punch.
He used Gravitational pull on his arm before saying,
"Let's finish this Mikel !"
Mikel pressed his fist on the ground before saying ,
"I was about to say the same thing ".
Mikel as if he were a sloth, stood lazily staring at Raven. With a smirk He began to move at the same pace as Raven.
"Is he a monster?",Raven thought.
"I can say the same for myself ", Raven muttered realising that he had been smiling the whole time.
Mikel felt a weight pull him downwards, he couldn't retaliate. His fist smashed the ground making a huge crate.
Raven stared shockingly at the figure which had just blocked his punch with ease. Before he could blink, he received a nerve wracking slap in the face.
The weight grew lighter and Mikel raised his head as he also stared at the figure.
"Mo-", he received a back handed slap before he could finish his sentence.
"You only have to options. You either surrender and accept your punishment, or you both fight me right now. Since you fellas gained some muscles you felt like you've become man, now show me how manly you are", Their mom said as she took out her freshly carved wooden spoon from her inventory.
As if they were in sync, they both kneeled down as the said," yes mam ".
While shaking they thought," how did she know , we were in too deep in the forest fo-"
They glanced at Amia who tried her best to avoid eye contact.
"You snitch!", they both muttered.
"Your injuries are less life threatening than those of Raven. But I'll still apply this ointment ", Mikel's mom said .
She kneeled down to apply the ointment.
"Mom"
Mikel's mom did not even flinch.
"Am I a monster?", Mikel asked hesitantly.
At that she slapped him. Now both of his chick's were red .
"I don't want to hear you ever say that word or you'll receive more than a slap next time, you hear me!", Mikel's mom shouted.
"Bu-"
"I did not give birth to a monster and even if I did. I would still love you the same for I am your mother ", she sobbed.
"John said I mustn't care about what people think of me for I will die alone anyway. But for me as long as this one person who means the World to me, as long as she loves me regardless of what I am. I don't give a damn what other people think."
Raven who was eavesdropping decided to leave with a sigh while muttering,
" idiot "
"Raven don't get intoo trouble while you're gone . Mikel will catch up with you 2 years from now", His mom said.
"Don't worry mom I got trained well. I'll come back with a souvenir. I think a rod will do ,so you can beat us better"
His mom grabbed his ear as she said , "learn to respect your elders"
After Raven said all his goodbyes he was just by the gate when he saw Mikel approaching while holding a bears head, draging it's body on the ground.
"Hey idiot "
He stopped after he was behind Raven . He punched Raven's chest with his free hand while crying.
"Give it your all ", he said.
"That's out of character coming from you Mikel ", he said as he also cried.
