I'm an Average guy

Well not Average but slightly above average in all aspects, Charm,intellect,physique,socializing you name it I'm slightly good at it than average people, in my childhood my parents thought i might be a genius due to my academic score, but that didn't last very long as i went to highschool and the calculus came in my life.

even in that i was slightly above average but oh the average was low. so i got somewhere in the middle. and I did not even try to work hard to achieve good scores.

You may ask why, Well because I'm lazy and a big one at that.

i do not spend more energy than required, not even a single flicker of hand.

I somehow cleared highschool and was enjoying vacation, Universities won't start atleast for 3 months, If i managed to get accepted in one.

So free of time i utilized my time as any highschool graduate would,

by lazing around my house all day just living life, at first it was good but then it went boring,

i was bored, not just of my time, but of my life too, i always thought there must me something more to life than just being average at it.

I started reading a web novel, it was inetresting to say the least, the plot was good, the character felt alive, the storyline was..., let's just say their characters future was very dark and hard.

so i started reading the novel until i reached to the latest chapter the author had uploaded,

i waited whole day just for the night to come and 2 chapters got updated so i could read it.

it became an habit somehow passing time during the day, thinking about the plot. waiting till the night so chapters would be updated.

one night excited as i can be i was waiting for it to updated, but it didn't

the author did not upload the chapters or so i thought.

Disappointed with that i decided to go out of house for some time. I put on my jacket heading towards the door when suddenly my doorbell rang

"huh, who could be at this hour?"

I opened the door to find a man in a formal outfit, he was wearing a blazer.

i inquired what he wanted from me,

He didn't say anything

Instead, he handed me an envelope.

I took the envelope with caution, Opened it with interest to see what's inside it,

I found a folded paper inside it, i unfolded it and there was just one sentence written on it

"Welcome to the Arena"

Just as I said that a bright light start flooding from the paper blinding me with until i went unconscious...
