Chapter 6 - Chapter 21: L'a ctualité

The gloom still lingers over bel as he regrets taking coffee before bed. Bel is a human now, so he's gotta deal with it.

Bel, on the way to going to school, steps on a dog shit.

It couldn't be even worse.

He cannot even scream, he just is tired.

Man, the dog poop didn't came off easily.

I whip out my watch, 'It's been 15 minutes, oh my god.'

This shitty headache, before i used to be able to sleep for years and wake up at will but now the only thing I'm good at, is slipping away from me.

Bel struck his desk, 'I hate coffee but what is happening to my body. I'm carving it more. I want a truck load of it. They said it had caffeine that will affect you, but I really don't care.'

Sahana, the Valkyrie gives bel a painful look.

It was a break before the class of ms. Isabella. Everybody stands up to greet the teacher and sit down.

'I was poorly beaten yesterday, how will i show my face to her right now?

Does she remember? Starry's words were unfulfilling, she maybe was lying.'

Bel fiddles and tries to hide his face behind others. Isabella rubs the blackboard and places down the duster. "Now, I have two things to announce, it has been more than a month, you all have attended classes on this grand classroom made for descendants of the legendary and Heroes of class A.

Another thing to announce,

You all will take a dungeon examination and then after the written examination to express your opinions."

Isabella bangs her hand on the teacher's desk.

'Listen, you all will be given points after you defeat the monsters inside the cave, you will be collecting such points.

The rule is simple, the highest point will be rewarded.

The points will be determined by the a balls that indicates the points you just got by defeating the monsters.

Goblin x1 gives you a blue ball containing 50 points.

An hobo goblin x1 will give you a red ball containing 100 points.

An Ogre x1 will give you a purple ball containing 150 whopping points.'

Miss Isabella stares at the students as she says this.

Michael, hero of faith and arthyr hero of bow looked at the teacher with enthusiasm.

Isabella cringes from her toes to her hands after seeing the descendant of hero of the darkness sitting on the corner going, 'FuFu~ Now, you normies shall know the great one as me~ Muhahaha.'

Sahana places her shoulder around her chair, 'Are we going to fight?'

Ares, the hero of necromancy lays her head upon alice, the alchemist.

Alice is too focused on Isabella that he doesn't even realize ares's affection that makes her pout.

On another point of view,

Hisa, yuna and cat are having a stand off. They decided who would get the most points, they would get the seat beside the bel.

The war for the crown of chair is intense enough for a metal to melt, the intense stares and the lightning struck that collide is truly a site to behold.

Bel thinks he wants to prove his worth now and has completely forgot about the 'Don't stand out. I am a demon' thing.

Bel is an idiot afterall.

The classes end. It's noon. The sun is settling and the sky looks orange. Bel is walking, not watching the beautiful scenery but the ground because he doesn't wants to wipe off the strong dog poop that doesn't go after a wipe or two.

You gotta scoop it.

'Someone is walking behind me, hehe, it's gonna be fun. I needed someone to throw all my anger upon.'

Bel thinks.

Bel turns around the corner after some corners and into the alleyway. The following shadow looks at the corner.

DADAN!

Bel jumps to look cool and ask 'Who are you?' in a cool tone but no one is there.

I just saw someone there. Is my headache going bad?

Then, I felt something cold.

In the dimly lit alleyway, my footsteps echoed off the walls as I quickened my pace, an unsettling feeling of being pursued gnawing at my senses. The distant flicker of a flickering street lamp cast eerie shadows that seemed to twist and elongate, and I couldn't shake off the sensation that someone – or something – was right behind me.

My heart raced as an icy breath brushed the back of my neck, and a whispered voice sent a chill down my spine, "Bel, why are you running?"

I looked back but there was nothing, not a single creature by side. I quickly used mana sense but it wasn't detecting anything.

Shuu~

Somebody blew air in my ear.

I retreated back and there was nothing but a garbage can in sight.

I knew who it was.

I look up, starry clinging on the air onto nothing.

'Boo!'

She gestured with her hands open on the air.

Aren't you a bit too old to pull pranks upon me?

'Heh, It's fun right?' Starry flicked her hands on my forehead.

'Mr. Bel, I want a favor.'

Starry had a mischievous look, it was honestly unsettling. She was clearly thinking out loud.

'And why the hell should I help you?' I asked to read her intentions a bit.

'I saved you from Isabella and other imperial stupid stuff, if they found out a peasant fought with the person with a background like that, you wouldn't have been alive right now.'

She gave me a disbelief look.

Tell me the missions. I don't do violence for anybody in advance, I will be pacifist.

Starry puts her hands on her chin, chuckles and sits on the air like she is on her soft cotton leather sofa.

'I will pay you in thousands of gold.' Isabella waves her hands.

'I-I ain't the type to get swayed by money and pleasure.'

Starry knew my words were crumbling but what can i do towards my greed for money and sleep?

'Meh, I am not a demon anymore.' I thought to myself.

Starry slowly takes out a big couch.

'Oh no, my minimum pocket money that is also my disposal income dropped on the ground.'

The bag fell on the ground.

Cling clang!

As the gold coin tumbled through the air, my eyes widened, fixated on its gleaming surface. The world seemed to slow down as my heart raced, my fingers itching to grasp the precious treasure. Every glint of light off its smooth edges drew me in, igniting a burning desire to possess it. The thought of what that bag of coins could bring, the power, the luxury, it consumed my thoughts entirely. Time seemed to stand still as I lunged forward, driven by an insatiable hunger for wealth, my fingers outstretched, ready to seize the object of my intense greed.

I fell to my knees.

'What can I do, my highness?'
