Saffron PoV
While Anis napped and Rose kept discussing the baptism of her nephews with her brother and Artemia, I went to look for the king. Rose said that her father might have some holy relics. Hopefully, one capable of keeping Cyra away from us.
I looked around town as I made my way back to Ma's place. Good thing I did too, as I saw Ma with my father-in-law at the farmer's market.
The king had changed into clothes more typical of the people here. He was helping my ma carry bags full of food.
"Kohei," I called out.
Ma smiled as she noticed me. "There's my boy! You were gone, I decided to borrow this lazy bones instead."
My father-in-law scoffed. "Lazy? Who?"
She giggled. "Ya, Kohei. Who else?"
He rolled his eyes. "You know what I mean. How am I the lazy one?"
"Ya were the only one this morning who didn't help out! Rose and Sil kept Anis entertained, while Alli and Saffy helped me cook."
