Saffron PoV
I got back to work setting up spiritual defenses against a possible Cyra return. Although, it was possible all of this still wasn't enough. Maybe I needed to go in search of a relic or something akin to that in order to keep Cyra away. The fact that she wasn't a full-blooded demon also complicated matters.
"Hey, Saffron!" a voice called out. It then hit me, I had missed out on work. Had Ma informed my uncle to let the higher ups know?
"Kine, what brings you here?" I asked.
"I heard Mia and Kisa were in town, so I wanted to see them and my adorable niece and nephews."
"Yeah, they're over at my ma's place." I pointed at Ma's house across the dirt road.
My boss crossed his arms and sighed. "I heard what happened here from Koyuki. She said Cyra tried to kidnap Anis and Rose got hurt trying to protect her."
I nodded and stared at my salt covered hands. "That's right."
