Rose PoV
After a hearty dinner Dahlia smiled and showed off a pumpkin pie.
Anis sniffed it with her little nose and smiled. Even her stoic daddy's eyes lit up at the sight.
Sil giggled at his niece. "Ma's pies are at the bestest!"
Saffron nodded and picked up the tiny container with only pumpkin filling. He scooped some up and offered it to Anis.
Anis cooed and held her arms out wide as she leaned forward. Saffron gently guided the spoon to her mouth, and she opened wide, ready for her first taste of pumpkin pie filling.
"Mmm!" she squealed, her eyes lighting up with joy as the sweet flavor hit her tongue. She clapped her hands together, her little giggles filling the room as she clearly indicated her approval.
"Looks like we have a little pie lover on our hands!" her grandma said, chuckling as Saf offered her another bite.
"Just wait until she is my age!" Sil joked, feigning horror. "I think I might have to wrestle her for it!"
