After hours of sightseeing from the oak tree, we headed back to Milo's place, my heart still fluttering from the moments we shared. The sun hung high in the sky, casting a warm glow over everything, and I felt a sense of peace wash over me.
As we entered the house, the cheerful chaos of family life enveloped us. I spotted Alli sitting on the floor, her brow furrowed in concentration as she tried to calm down a crying Anis. The sound of Anis's wails tugged at my heart, and I felt a pang of concern.
"Anis!" I exclaimed, rushing over to them. "What happened?"
Alli looked up at us, her expression a mix of frustration and sympathy. "I think she got upset when she couldn't find you both. She thought you vanished," she explained, gently bouncing Anis in her arms.
