I quickly made food for Rose and Anis. For the little one, I made a nice sweet potato puree.
Rose eventually came down the stairs, holding Anis in her arms. The little one was now dressed in a fluffy bunny onesie, complete with cute floppy ears that bounced slightly as Rose walked.
I felt a small smile tug at the corners of my lips. "My bunny girl sure is adorable."
Anis giggled, her laughter brightening the room and making my heart swell. She looked up at me with her big, curious purple eyes, and I could feel the warmth radiating from both of them.
Rose settled into her chair at the table, gently placing Anis in her high chair beside her. As she sat down, her gaze fell on the pancakes stacked high on her plate. The golden-brown circles were perfectly fluffy, and I had drizzled a bit of syrup on top, just the way she liked it.
