"Hey, Yuki," Koyuki said as we were snuggled together in my bed.
"Yeah?" I asked, smiling.
"Remember those kids who got kidnapped by Andrey?'
I frowned. "Yeah, of course I do. Thankfully, they're all fine, a year later."
"About that, have the doctors observing them noticed any effects on their bodies?"
"Not any negative ones."
"There are positive ones?'
I propped myself up on one elbow, looking down at Koyuki, her expression a mixture of curiosity and concern. "Positive ones?" I repeated, my brow furrowing. "What do you mean?
Koyuki's brows knitted together as she considered her words carefully. "Elyss mentioned something about the abyssal goo and how it might have had effects on the kids. I was wondering if the doctors had noted any changes, especially after what happened with Andrey."
