**Tulia PoV**
I pouted as I looked around the living room for Reginald. He had been here not too long ago, rocking Shi in his arms, the two of them sharing a quiet moment that had warmed my heart. But now, the room felt too still, and I could sense that familiar annoyance creeping in. Where had he gone off to now?
"Reginald!" I called out, my voice echoing slightly in the spacious room. "Are you hiding? You know I don't like it when you disappear like this!"
Just as I was about to march toward the kitchen, a light breeze swept behind me. Before I could turn around, a pair of strong arms wrapped around my waist, and I jumped, startled.
"Boo!" Reginald exclaimed, his voice playful and full of mischief.
I spun around, nearly scowling, but the sight of his beaming face made it hard to maintain my irritation. "You scared me!" I huffed, crossing my arms over my chest, trying to look more angry than I felt.
