Saffron PoV
After breakfast, I headed out to check the crater with Gael, Koyuki, and Griff.
Griff eyed the crater and sighed. He touched his side.
"You okay, Dad?" Koyuki asked, frowning at him.
He smiled and nodded. "Yeah, it's just that this place brings back memories."
Gael nodded.
I was in Taahid at the time, but from what they told me, the battle with Andrey was tough. My own cousin had been put into a coma during said battle. The landscape around Tasuku's town had signs of the battle too. The tunnels all the way there led to here.
"Let's go to the lab," I said, flying into the crater. As I did, I felt my head pulsate. The darkness, it was stronger than I thought. No wonder Milo was almost driven insane.
"Captain, are you okay?" Koyuki asked.
I nodded. "Yeah, let's get to our mission site. The effect of the darkness will get worse the longer we stare.
