I found myself outside my house. But wasn't I in the snowmobile with Gael? Was this a dream?
Suddenly I heard the door click open. Anis poked her little head out of the door, somehow able to push it.
Her purple eyes glistened as soon as she saw me. She crawled over to me, giggling.
I smiled and spread out arms. "Hey, missed ya pa?"
She let out a loud goo and jumped like a frog at me.
I snuggled my baby girl, her warmth melting away the confusion that had clouded my mind. Anis giggled, her little hands clutching onto my shirt as she nestled into my embrace. The smell of her rose-scented baby shampoo wafted up, making me relax. Rose always picked the most relaxing scents. Maybe she should get into aromatherapy or become a prefumist.
"Look at you, all grown up!" I teased, pulling back slightly to look into her sparkling eyes. They were as full of energy as my little brother's. "Did you learn how to open doors all by yourself?"
