We climbed up some stairs and ended up on the ceiling.
"Woah," Gael said as the entire room reversed. "H-how did that happen?"
I hummed. "It's obvious our physics don't apply to this place."
He scratched his head and chuckled weakly as he gazed at where we once stood. "And I barely get the physics of our world."
There he went again, always finding a way to insert his own brand of humor into our situation. Although, I couldn't help but smile slightly.
"That's enough staring, let's get moving," I said, striding on ahead, eager to explore further and figure out what this bizarre realm had in store for us.
"Wait up, Cap!" he yelled, chasing after me. "You said to stick close!" Just as I turned to respond, I heard him gasp. He jumped back as a thorny branch shot out from a strange-looking tree. Had Gael not leaped away in time, he would've been badly maimed by that thing.
