Kaze PoV
Mom's words echoed in my head as I joined Kiki and the others outside of the palace. Hideyoshi was in the front of his red car, already seated and ready to go. Kiki was in the back with Alabaster, waving a rattle at him in an attempt to cheer him up as he fussed.
"Look, Alabaster! It's Mr. Fluffykins!" Kiki exclaimed, holding her plush bunny up to his face.
Alabaster's cries softened slightly as he caught sight of his aunt's animated expressions and the familiar toy. His little hands reached out, as if he recognized the joy Kiki brought with her.
"Hey, sweetie, it's okay," I said, opening the door and sitting beside my baby boy. "Mommy is back."
