I smiled and rocked my baby boy. Alabaster slumbered soundly in my arms. He got his name from his pale skin which contrasted with his black hair.
The sunlight streamed through the grand windows of the palace, casting a warm glow around us. I shifted slightly in the plush armchair, careful not to disturb his sleep, and settled deeper into the soft cushions. The palace was quiet, a comforting silence that enveloped us, allowing me to bask in the joy of motherhood.
As I sat there, I couldn't help but reflect on how much my life had changed since Alabaster's arrival. The worries that once filled my days had transformed into a profound love that made each day brighter. With him came a new sense of purpose; every coo and gurgle from him made my heart swell.
