Rose PoV
Several days had passed since the dream incident. Anis was back to sleeping well, while my brother and our extended family went back to their respective homes.
Anis became a little sad as she missed playing with Takeshi. She loved the kitty boy.
I sighed as Saffron got dressed. He was heading to his mission up north tomorrow. Today was our last day together until who knew when.
I'd told him he could go with Gael, Setsuka, and Seb two days ago, but he said it wasn't going to officially start yet.
He looked over his shoulder, fastening the last button on his black and green jacket. "You okay, Rose?" His voice was soft, filled with concern.
I forced a smile, trying to push down the apprehension blooming in my chest. "Yeah, just thinking about how much Anis misses Takeshi. She really enjoyed having him around."
