Mia sighed. "Demosnia really isn't to be trifled with. He has the power to drain people with his nightmares or drive them insane with insomnia."
"We dealt with him before," Saffron said, rocking Anis.
I could see the resolve in Saffron's eyes, but I felt a knot of worry tighten in my stomach. "Yes, but that was a hard fought victory," I said softly, my heart heavy with the memories of what we had gone through during Milo's ordeal. "Milo's soul couldn't be entirely repaired in part thanks to the long nightmare and the destruction of the dreamscape. If Reginald hadn't shown up, we probably would've been stuck in the unending nightmare as well..."
He sighed and turned away before looking back at Anis. His stoic face couldn't hide his concern.
"I can make dream catchers and set up wards around the house. That might help shield them from Demosnia's influence. We'll create a sanctuary for them," Mia said.
I smiled. "Thanks again, Mia."
