**Saffron's PoV**
Anis began to calm down again. Actually, she seemed content, her little hands still moving as if she were playfully fighting someone. A soft smile crossed my face as I watched her.
I chuckled at her little arms swinging through the air, lost in her own world.
Rose giggled beside me, her eyes sparkling. "Our girl must've taken after her pa," she teased, nudging me gently. "Fighting her nightmares."
I felt a warmth spread across my cheeks.
Anis continued her playful motions, her face scrunched in concentration. I glanced at Rose, and we shared a knowing smile, both feeling the same blend of affection and amusement.
"What do you think she's fighting?" I pondered aloud. "A dragon? A scary clown?"
Rose laughed softly, "Maybe it's a giant fish! She got scared when I went to the market with her one day."
I chuckled, glancing back at Anis. "Well, whatever it is, seems she has turned the tables."
