I smiled as I sat down on the bed with my baby. Anis was nestled comfortably in my arms, her big gummy smile as cute as ever.
Saf glanced at me as he laid down in our bed, his expression calm and composed. "Someone looks happy," he said with a hint of curiosity.
I chuckled softly, brushing a lock of hair behind Anis's ear. "Can you blame me? She's just so adorable, especially when she smiles like that."
He nodded, a slight smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "It's nice to see you both smiling. It suits you."
I felt a warmth spread through me at his words. "Thanks, Saffron. I just love these moments with her." I sighed. "I'm gonna miss them when she's older."
As Anis cooed softly, Saf's eyes softened further. "She has a way of making everything feel right, doesn't she?" he said, his voice laced with an uncharacteristic tenderness.
