I smiled at Anis as she crawled toward me, her little hands working diligently to navigate the play mat. She had her sights set on her kitty plushie.
"Nice job, Anis!" I said, shaking the plushie playfully, making its little bell jingle.
Anis's face lit up with pure joy as she reached for the kitty's front paws, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She let out a happy coo, her tiny fingers grasping the plushie tightly, as if it were the most precious treasure in the world.
Just then, the bathroom door creaked open, and Saffron stepped out, a towel draped around his shoulders. Good thing he had changed, else I would be a blushing mess...
He caught sight of us and a warm smile spread across his face, lighting up his features.
"Well, look at my two favorite girls," he said, bending down to get closer to Anis. "What are you up to, little one?"
