Kohei PoV

I walked out of my son-in-law's house and looked around for Percival. He would usually stay whereever I left him. Had one of the peasants stolen him? No, he would've caused a ruckus if that were the case.
I turned to see Dahlia standing next to Percival, gently stroking his mane. Salvias, her youngest, giggled as he petted the pegasus's back leg, while Alli stood nearby, a concerned look on her face.
"Dahlia, what are you doing with Percival?" I asked, trying to keep my tone calm.
Dahlia smiled warmly. "He looked hungry, Kohei. So I thought I'd give him a little treat." She held up a half-eaten carrot as evidence.
I huffed. "Still, taking him away like that. You should've told me."
She put a hand on her hips and snickered. "Well, you were busy talking to Rose. Our granddaughter sure is cute, huh?"
I crossed my arms. "Well, she is my blood."
"Mine too."
"She takes more after me."
