I stared at the door behind me. If Azami was the oldest, then why was Osamu the one sitting on the throne in the vision Reginald showed me? Had fate changed already? Or would something bad happen to my oldest grandson?
One thing I knew for certain: both boys would need to be prepared for whatever laid ahead. Whether it was Azami or Osamu who would eventually take the throne, they both needed to be ready.
With that thought, I turned and began walking down the corridor, the stone walls echoing my footsteps. Orlin himself had yet to ascend to the throne. There was still much to teach him, and now, even more to impart to Azami and Osamu.
I made my way to my study, the weight of responsibility settling on my shoulders. There were documents to review, plans to be made, and contingencies to consider. I had to ensure that the kingdom would thrive, no matter which of my grandsons would eventually rule.
