Anis cooed as she woke up, her tiny hands stretching out as if to greet the new day. I couldn't help but smile at my daughter. Rose sure had given me an adorable child.
I leaned over, gently stroking her soft, dark hair. "Good morning, Anis," I whispered. "Did you sleep well?"
Anis's big, curious purple eyes looked up at me, and she gurgled in response, her tiny hands reaching out.
I carefully disconnected her from the CPAP machine that helped her breathe at night, ensuring not to hurt her. The machine had become a part of our daily routine, a reminder of the challenges we faced but also of the strength and resilience of our little girl.
As I picked her up, she nestled into my arms, her warmth filling me with a sense of peace. I carried her over to the changing table, humming a tune as I changed her diaper and dressed her in a cute elephant onesie.
