Setsuka PoV
Seb woke up and looked at the ceiling for a while. It hurt seeing him like this. I knew he was still the same Seb, but it also felt like the Seb I knew had died.
Gael walked in. "How is he doing?"
I sighed. "He is just staring off into space again. I know he did it before, but this is different."
He put a hand on my shoulder. "It'll be fine. He's just struggling with a loss of social skills." My husband snickered as he brought out Seb's toy hammer.
Seb turned as if recognizing the toy. He began making sounds as he reached for it. "Hamu, hamu!"
I giggled as Gael handed it over to him. At least he recognized his favorite toy. I gasped as it hit me that his situation was a bit similar to amnesia. The doctor did say we would have to have help him relearn a lot of the skills lost. Hopefully, we could succeed. A year wasn't much, but if we failed, it could set him back for the rest of his life.
