Grannus vanished and appeared behind me. A wall of ice extended from my back, but it wasn't enough to harm Grannus. It did, however, buy me enough time to escape getting turned into ashes.
"You youngsters need to go into Second Heaven," Aventine said, her eyes narrowed at her brother-in-law.
I hesitated, the weight of her words sinking in. Second Heaven was risky. My eyes widened as I saw a sphere of light fly through the air. It was moving rapidly toward the south-east. I saw Saffron and who I assumed to be his mom and Setsuka also with them. There was another person too, but the sphere moved too fast for me to see them.
Uriana nodded in agreement, her lilac sword still held at the ready. "She's right. We can't afford to hold back any longer. Tap into Second Heaven, King Kohei. It's the only way."
