I hugged my son tightly as I tried to heal the injuries he had sustained in his fight against that half-demon man. Seein' him fight brought back memories of when his dad would come back with new injuries. I knew Saffron had too, that's why I worried about him all the time. The Kasai no Ki had killed his dad in an ambush not too different from this one, but at sea.
The way Saffron told his friends to leave also made me think of how my dear husband died... Saffron was a kind as him, even if he hid it under an icy mask.
