I smiled as I read the telegram that Prince Zephyros had sent me. While he had yet to convince his brother to support our cause, he had managed to plant the seeds of doubt. He also had a backup plan in case King Eorus didn't budge in the end.
Turning my chair around, I smiled as I looked at the ocean beyond the Kasai no Ki's capital. King Kohei beefing up security at his western, northern, and southern borders had made it a bit easier to get Taahid's help. Although it also made it likely that Taahid would fail to advance very far into Kuroriku, should they the attack at all.
Still, every step forward was a victory, no matter how small. The tides of change were slow, but with careful maneuvering, they could be turned to our favor.
A knock on the door broke my reverie. "Enter," I called out.
The door opened to reveal my trusted aide, Rodrigo.
I smiled at him. "Hey, nice of you to come see me. Been training hard?"
