I panted as I slashed the air with a pair of normal curved short swords.
The princess clapped her hands and giggled.
"Princess, I didn't know you were there," I muttered. My face heated up.
"Sorry, Gil. I was gonna make myself known until I saw you busy with your swordsmanship. You're almost as good as Zephyros."
I smiled. "You think so?"
She nodded. "Brother taught you well."
Putting the back of my hands against my hips, I chuckled. "I was already good before meeting him."
She laughed, a light and melodious sound that seemed to lift the weight of our current situation, even if just for a moment. "Of course you were. But you have to admit, Zephyros has a way of pushing people to their limits."
I nodded, the smile lingering on my lips. "That he does. He's a great mentor."
