Akihi took another step back.
Suddenly, shadows surrounded us, forming a sphere. They weren't from Akihi but Saffron.
The new guy gasped as his own shadow wrapped around his legs, sealing his movements.
"So, this the Captain's domain," Uneri said. He had been quiet most of this time that I had forgotten he was even with us.
Saffron activated his angel tool and pressed the handheld cannon against Akihi's chest. "I knew something was off about you. What is your aim?"
"My aim? I got none!" he said. His hands gripped the arm cannon. "But if you don't believe me then shoot."
Saffron tried to pull back his arm cannon, but Akihi kept pressing it against his chest.
"I mean it," the scion of the abyss said. I couldn't see his eyes through his sunglasses, but I could tell they were full of determination.
