Using my wind mana, I pushed the gate open, almost tearing it apart.
Roxie, Orson, and I made our way to Cyra's mansion.
Roxie shivered as she stared at the creepy-looking statues. "Is it just me or does it feel like we're being watched?"
I nodded.
"It's not just you," I said. "This place has always given off an eerie vibe. Like there's always someone or something watching."
As we approached the mansion, I felt my wind mana prickle in response to an unfamiliar energy. Was it prana? There was a barrier of some sort, an enchantment that meant to ward off intruders.
"Stand back," I instructed Roxie and Orson as I stepped forward. Concentrating, I used my wind mana to break the barrier, but its resilience surprised me. It was strong, stronger than anything I'd encountered before.
"It's not breaking," Orson noted, his voice filled with hints of concern.
