Sil pumped his fists. Rose and I were taking him to the suburbs of Momotaro to meet with Kiki.
"Are we there yet?" My little bro looked out of the window.
"Almost, Sil," Rose answered, her voice as cheerful as always.
Sil and Rose got along really well. He had been talking nonstop with her since the beginning of the trip.
"Be patient, Sil," Ma said, sighing.
Rose giggled. "It's okay, he's just excited to see his friend." She glanced at me. "I would've been too if I were in his shoes."
My cheeks warmed. "I'm glad to hear that."
Allie giggled. "I can't believe you were so shy, Saffy."
"Saffy?" Rose repeated, blinking.
My face burned. "D-don't call me that, please."
My sis chuckled. "But you're so cute. Right, Sil?"
"Yep! He's like a big kitty!"
Rose smiled. "Really? What kind?"
"A panther!" Sil replied.
Rose turned to me. "What's your favorite animal, Saffron?"
