"Say, you wanna come to the desert sometime? My tribe has the best dances. And we have this huge party after. It's a lot of fun," I asked.
He gulped. "I-I'm not sure. Mommy might not like me going out. It's dangerous."
"Not really."
"You're only a child, Kisa," he muttered.
My cheeks heated up. "So what?! I'm strong and capable."
"I never said you weren't. But there's big meanies out there looking to take your stuff."
I gasped. "Bandits? No way. They wouldn't dare."
"Well, they might."
I snickered and raised my bracelet. "If they do, I'll give those 'big meanies' a good lashing."
He sighed. "How can you be so brave? I wanna be brave too
I giggled. "It's easy. Just gotta be yourself. No need to be a wimp."
He smiled. "Well, you're the bravest."
