Koyuki
We walked in silence, the rhythm of our steps echoing the beat of my anxious heart. The moon hung over the sky, casting a silver glow that reflected beautifully on the placid lake surface. The serene scenery did little to calm my racing thoughts. Why had he brought me out here for? Was the fusion a temporary solution or something?
Once we reached the shore, he dropped my hand and turned to face me, his silhouette beautifully outlined against the moonlight. His dark-green eyes were filled with a mix of emotions I couldn't quite decipher.
"Koyu," he began, his voice wavering slightly. "I... I need to ask you something."
I nodded, encouraging him to continue. Even though I feared his question. "What is it?"
He took a deep breath, his gaze never leaving mine. "Now that I'm... well, this new person, what does that make us? What are we to each other?"
