I gasped as Milo's shade opened his eyes. Just as he did, something flew over us. Was it the last shade? If so, Saffron and the others must've done it! They defeated Audrey's phantom.
Although, I couldn't help but feel a sense of apprehension. Not long after my brother left with my husband and the other marines, I began to feel my heart aching. Hopefully, they were fine. At least Milo's third shade was awake now.

He chuckled as he continued to rest his head on my lap. "Wonder if Saf would get jealous if he were to see us like this. Although, not like he likes laying his head on people's laps. Now, Sil, he is like a puppy or a kitty."
Kine laughed as he looked over. "And you mister are like a kitty yourself."
Milo sat up. "Major Kine!"
