Saffron
I winced as Koyuki and Yukito passed out. It was up to Kisa and me now. I took the energy they had sent me. I wasn't going to let this go to waste.
"Saffron," Kisa called to me, looking back at our fallen allies. Her face was etched with worry, but I saw the determination in her eyes. "We have to finish this."
"I know," I replied, my voice steady despite the fear gnawing at my insides. I had to stay strong, for own exhausted allies, for all of us. I drew in a deep breath, focusing on the task at hand.
Andrey was still standing, his body a mass of sparking flames and fury. But he was faltering, his movements slower, less precise. He was tiring, just as we were.
I looked at Kisa, her face set in a grim line of determination. "Ready?" I asked, even though I knew the answer.
"Always," she replied, her voice resolute.
