We passed through the portal and arrived at the other side. A stake laid on the cavern floor but vanished soon after.
"Kine left it for us to return here later," Kisa said, glancing ahead.
"Your brother sure is meddlesome," a voice echoed from the depths. Something akin to a fox rushed at us.
I raised my cannon and fired blasts of darkness at it, but they were halted in mid-air and reflected back at us.
Kisa formed a wall of stone, protecting us from my reversed attack.
The Major scoffed. "Between us, you have the more bothersome brother! Taking the guy down was like trying to stomp a cockroach to death!"
The fox snickered. "Bylet has always been a determined one. If anything, you're lucky you aren't facing his mirage."
I sighed. Indeed. That guy wouldn't give up. I still feared he would return to retrieve the spear from Kisa one day. Although, Kisa and Uneri had proven they could take him on.
