I rubbed my head as we appeared on a board of driftwood. Black waters surrounded us.
"This place reminds me a bit of Abyssia," Yuki said, looking around.
Shivers ran up my spine just thinking about that place.
"We need to stay alert," I said, my voice quivering slightly. "Let's not underestimate this place."
Yuki nodded in understanding, his eyes reflecting a mix of determination and concern. "Agreed. We'll watch each other's backs, like always."
Kine stared at the waters, brow furrowed.
"Think the shade could be there?" Yuki asked.
"It's a possibility," Major Kine responded.
Yuki smiled as he glanced at me. "Good thing both of us can use water mana, huh?"
Kine snickered. "So, you took after your late mother."
He frowned. "I guess I did."
I patted his shoulder. "It's okay, Yuki."
He forced a smile. "Well, let's part the waters. Milo might be waiting for us down there."
