ORLIN
The black haired boy laughed nervously. "I mean, like hey."
Koyu sighed. "You always let things slip, Yuki. Even as kids."
He pouted, reminding me of myself when teased.
"Things slip?" Artie asked, tilting her head.
What had this guy let slip anyway?
The black-haired boy, who I now knew was named Yuki, scratched at his cheek, looking flustered. "Well, uh, it's a long story."
"Yuki has always been a bit... clumsy with his words," Koyu explained, a small smile on her face. "He tends to say things without thinking."
I couldn't help but chuckle at that. Yuki reminded me a lot of myself. Always blurting things out without thinking.
"Anyway," Yuki said, trying to change the subject. "We should probably get going. We have a long journey ahead."
"No need to rush," I said, stepping forward. "You and Koyu should rest here for the night. You both look exhausted."
