I went back to the clinic after leaving Saffron's family at my place. Everyone acted as if nothing had happened. Had no one paid attention to the commotion?
"Need some help?" the nurse who had helped attend Rose asked. Her eyes looked dull and her voice was devoid of all emotion it had prior.
"What happened to Rodrigo?" I asked. "I want to interview him."
She crossed her arms and tilted her head. "Rodrigo? Who is that?"
I furrowed my brow. She forgot? Had something happened after I left?
"The man who attacked Rose."
She hummed.
"Please, I need to know."
She tapped her head. "Sorry, I don't recall."
It was then that I noticed strange markings underneath her bangs. Were they on the back of her head as well?
"What Dr. Romanov?"
She smiled. "She is in her office if you wish to see her."
"Thanks," I said, walking away.
"Sir Kine," she said.
"Yeah?"
