*Koyuki*
I stared at my sleeping daughter and stroked her hair. "Mommy and Daddy will be back in a few days, dear," I whispered. "Try to be a good girl for your Granddaddy and Grandmommy, okay?"
"Okay," Yukira said, turning in her sleep.
I giggled. She was a lot like her daddy.
"Ready to go?" Yuki asked as he gave me a sad smile.
I nodded. "Yeah." I watched as he continued to stare sadly at our daughter. "Don't plan to say bye?"
He looked down. "I feel if I do that, that I might never come back."
I frowned. "Why would you say that? Of course you'll be coming back. I'm not going to let you get hurt again."
Yukito gave me a small smile. "I know, Koyuki. It's just... hard, leaving her so soon."
I reached out, taking his hand in mine. "I know, Yuki. But we'll be back before she knows it."
He nodded, squeezing my hand. "You're right. Let's go."
