Sil ran around, putting snacks on my kitchen table. He had decided to make a little party to celebrate Kiki's test retake. I told him that she might not feel up to it, given how draining that test can be, but he insisted. Guess it could help Kiki. The girl was more extraverted than me.
If Saffron had prepared me a party after I took mine, I probably would've told shown up for a bit and gone to bed. My cheeks reddened. I hadn't asked Saffron if he remembered our first meeting.
Would asking him change anything, though? What if he found me childish for bringing it up? Or what if he got mad that I had only recently remembered?
I shook my head, trying to clear my thoughts. Now wasn't the time to worry about that. I had more pressing matters to attend to, like helping Sil with the party preparations.
"Rose, could you help me with this?" Sil called from the kitchen, holding up a bag of chips that refused to open.
