Milo snickered as we reached the exit of the school. "Hey, wanna play video games too?"
I sighed. "Sorry, but I got homework to do."
My cousin grumbled. "Homework can wait, ya know!"
Not really.
I shook my head. "I can't afford to fall behind, Milo."
He sighed. "Fine, but you're missing out on some serious fun."
I chuckled. "I'm sure I am."
We walked home in silence. I couldn't help but feel guilty about what happened. I should've stood up for myself. I shouldn't have let Milo get hurt because of me.
Milo chuckled and jumped on my back. "Piggyback ride!"
"H-hey!"
I stumbled a bit under his weight, but managed to keep my balance. "Milo, you're too heavy for this!"
He laughed, clinging onto me. "Nah, you're just too weak, Saf!"
I grumbled, adjusting my grip on his legs. "You're lucky we're family."
