We flew through the cavern, the heat from the lava making the air thick and heavy. I could see the worry in Koyuki's eyes, but she remained focused, her gaze scanning the cavern for any sign of the doctor.
Suddenly, a loud roar echoed through the cavern. I turned to see a massive creature made entirely of lava emerging from the depths of the cavern. Its eyes glowed a bright orange, and it bared its teeth at us. This one was shaped like a fox rather than a serpentine."
Is that... an abysmal?" I asked, as I avoided its claws.
Koyuki nodded, her face pale. "It must be. But it rose out of the ground. Does that mean they're spread throughout?"
"We don't have time to figure that out now," I said, gripping my guns tightly. "We need to take it down."
Koyuki nodded as she transformed her necklace into its musket form. "Right. Let's do this."
