Kiki smiled. "Sil showed me his bear the other day, it was so cute!"
I smirked. "You sure seem fond of him."
"Well, it is a cute bear!"
I chuckled. "I meant Sil."
"Oh, w-well, he's my friend after all."
Mother glanced at her. "Sil, huh? I've yet to meet him and his sister. What family do they come from?"
I frowned. Mother didn't know they were peasants yet.
"Daikiri," Kiki said.
Her brow furrowed. "Daikiri?"
"They're farmers," Koga blurted out.
Mother gasped. "So Princess Rosemary did marry into a peasant family?"
I sighed and looked down at my coffee. "Yes."
"Hmph, goes to show how little Kohei thinks of her." She glanced at me. "Do you think it's actually a good idea to have her as Kikiyo's tutor? I was talking to Cyra the other day and she mentioned that Rosemary has only taught lower class kids. Kiki's curriculum is way farther than that of the peasantry."
