I smiled as Thomas hugged his parents. They patted their kid's back and walked him back inside.
He was the last of the kidnapped kids we had to return home.
Adamas smiled. "Seems we're done."
I nodded. "Yeah. Let's go check up on the girls."
Gael laughed with folded arms. "You're just after that buffet that the mayor promised you."
My face reddened. "N-no, I really am worried about Koyu."
He raised his eyebrows. "Why? Think the mayor is a bad guy or something?"
I shook my head. "It's just... She's been out of it since this mission began."
Gael sighed. "True. She keeps thinking about that departed ex of hers." He smirked. "If you ask her out, that might brighten her mood."
My face heated up. "I-I can't. I a-also know ya tryna trick me!"
Adamas smiled like Gael liked to. "You like Koyuki?"
