Chapter 1 - An Orderly World Shaken

"To the mind that is still, the whole world surrenders." These are the words that keep playing in Zhang Wudi's mind whilst eyes closed, smelling the fresh dew drops surrounding him in a green garden at the edge of the cliff. The early morning sun has started to kiss his elderly cheeks lined with a grayish white beard that flows down near his collar. He is seated in a lotus position on a cool flat rock that was moist from the night rain. He is wearing an old white Taoist robe. In his mind he could explore the possibilities of the day. After a thousand years of peace and tranquilty, he has almost memorized every possible scenario in Sekai.

Zhang Wudi opened his deep blue eyes like a calm sea and sky and slowly stood up in a refined manner. He is bald and skin shows that he had been living long enough than anyone else, but his body movements can tell that he us still in his prime. No one knows exactly how old he is and he is rarely seen by anyone except when he wishes to. He had secluded himself for a couple of centuries since subduing the grand master of Tona Totaka and made them disappear forever.

He slowly raised his hands and his head to look up in the sky, his palms open and once again closed his eyes. At his back, there is a cave that is shaped almost like a perfect arch with a keystone. He went back to his meditation and used his Chi to project his aura around him. The aura is invisible to the naked eye but something that Chi users can perceive. His aura projection was spherical and expanding exponentially. He kept his pace until he was able to cover the entire planet. His blood rushed to his head and the veins started appearing. He kept it up for a few more minutes then he suddenly retracted the aura sphere double the pace of its expansion. In his mind it feels like he was navigating some kind of turbulent wormhole with millons of colors entering his senses.

What he just performed is a Chi technique known as Shengda Raito Keiji. Shengda is the highest level of Chi practice that is known to display godly powers. Raito is the nature of light. Each Chi technique is shaped amongst different nature of the world and Raito is one of the rarest. Keiji class of techniques are one of the most usefule in times of war. It is used to reveal enemy positions or locate hidden traps and guards. Normally it can be countered by a Yinchang technique but Shengda level of Chi is something you really can't hide away from.

Zhang Wudi peforms this technique as his morning ritual. He is still standing, now with his hands down. His appearance went back the way before he projected the spherical aura. He slowly opened his eyes and gently whisphered calmly "Today's gonna be different." There was some ecstatic feeling deep inside him. He had seen something today that he had never seen in about a millenia.

Sekaishuto is a vast bustling city in the Valley of Light. The structures here resembles that of an Imperial China during the reign of Shi Huang Di. The city is cut accross by Ren river flowing from east to west and the mountain ranges bound the north and south. And right in the middle is an elaborate complex where the Emperor and his rulers reside. The place is called Diwang Gu or Valley of the Kings. The whole complex is divided into 2 sections cut accross by Ren river with the emperor's castle located near the bank of the north side.

The emperor's residence somehat looks like the forbidden city where there is field surrounded by thick rock walls facing the river. The castle has a grand entrance that leads to a court hall. The hall is semi circular in shape similar to greek amphitheater only that the bleachers are made of wood. The court is in session with courtiers seated and fashioned similar to Korea's Joseon period. At the far end of the court opposite the semi-circle amphitheater-like structure lies a golden throne with a pair of dragon heads serving as armchair. To the side, the dragons eyes are adroned with each with a ruby giving it a fiery expression. The throne is separated from the courtier seats by a wide array of lit candles with flames stagnantly pointed up as if not a single whisper of wind has entered the hall. The whole place is lit up by a glass ceiling with the seal of Sekai written in Kanji within the circular shield. Crimson in color with transparent backdrop giving the room a yellowish-white tone of sunlight.

Seated on the throne is a very old man probably in his late eighties or early nineties. He appears frail and thin and is always leaning on his back. He is dressed similar to King Louis XIV of France during his coronation albeit he is old and his face resembles that of the Dalai Lama. He is flanked by 2 muscular guards dressed like a roman legionnaire with blue toned costume each holding a shield and a spear with a short sword hoisted on their left side. The old man is known as emperor Choujou for he has ruled Sekai for more than 9 centuries. Everyone thought he has achieved immortality however he knows for himself that his time is about to pass. There is a legend about a place called Shangri-la that no one knows the wherabaouts. Legend has it that in the deep of Shangri-la lies a spring where the water you drink can give you eternal life. Legend has it that the most powerful individuals in history has at some point of their lives quested for the spring of everlasting life.

Emperor Choujou raised his right hand about the level of his chest with his ring of blue diamond glittering accross the hall. "Ministers! All rise!" Shouted a man in loud voice. All the courtiers rose together all at the same time stood up when all of the sudden a bright blinding light appeared at the middle of the amphitheater-like structure. All but the emperor shouted in fear and covered their eyes for the light was like a needle piercing their eyeballs. The light started to fade a bit and it bgan swirling upwards whilst in the middle of the hall. A man in a taoist robe begin to appear within the bright light with his face lighted up like the sun. Then the blinding light further faded.

Emperor Choujou looked intently to the man and said "Zhang Wudi! What a great day to see you!". "You don't look so pleased." Zhang Wudi replied, "No need to worry, I am only here to say that something out of ordinary will happen today so you and your ministers need to watch out." "And what would that be?" The Emperor said with a sarcastic smile "what do we need to watch out for in a perfect world you built?". Everyone in the court was in an unexplained state of shock and awe. The Emperor and Zhang Wudi would not have engaged in a coversation with the smallest hint of sarcasm or hatred. For they have known each other for centuries. And on top of that, the emperor was the longest staying apprentice to Zhang Wudi

Zhang Wudi was not very pleased and his blue eyes started to be engulfed with what looks like a cloud that started spinning like looking at the top of a twister. "This is trouble you fools!" Addresing everyone in the hall in a loud authoritarian voice. "The emperor is no longer himself for a few days now!" After hearing Wudi's words, chaos ensued within the hall and everyone except the two powerful individuals became confused ans started to run around like chickens bumping and shouting with each other. The Emperor's face turned black and shouted in a garbled voice "It's the end of forever Wudi…" That black faced creature that seemed to take over the emperor opened his mouth and a red vein-like structure started to rapidly creep out and formed a net that looks like the bronchules of lungs and reach Wudi in a split second.

Wudi with his stormy eyes is still standing still as a ball of aura started projecting from his chest outward similar to his Raito Keiji but this time it is crimson red and hot. The vein-like structure started to dissipate to nothing upon contact with the aura ball. Realizing that his technique is startinb to melt away, the black creature pointed the blue ring towards Zhang Wudi's eyes at it projected a dark laser-like beam. " Your cheap tricks won't work on me." Zhang Wudi said calmly as the aura ball projecting outwards started to consume the black creature. He melted into a thick liquid that eventually started to evaporate until the blue ring fell on the ground.

Zhang Wudi's eyes were still fixed at the blue diamond as the tornado in his eyes started to fade. Then his pupils started to dilate as he uttered the words. "How can that be? It's been a millenia…" he suddenly dropped dead and fell to the floor on his back with his taoist robe. The chaos in the room suddenly ground to a halt when everyone realized that Zhang Wudi fell down. Everyone is in further state of shock and awe even greater than before as the turn of events happened only in less than a minute.

Zhang Wudi, still flat on the floor has slowly regained consciousness in his mind but he still kept his eyes closed. He is quite surprised that confusion has crept up his mind. He suddenly opend his eyes and rose to his feet and shouted "Tona Totaka! Where did it come from? I eradicated it a millenia ago!". He looked around and realized that he cannot recognize a single person in the room. All eyes were fixed on him as if they are looking at a mentally challenged person who did not receive any treatment. When finally he came to his senses, he sat down in a lotus position and looked at the floor shaking his head
