Sword Peak, the peak with title the strongest in the Moonlight Palace, and theirdisciples with talents for the sword roamed each in every corner of the mountain.
The disciples in the mountain carry swords all the time of different kinds, be it single-edged swords, heavy swords, or thin but flexible swords.
Naturally, the same as with any other peaks there were sections separating them from each other.
At the bottom were the 3rd class disciples who stayed at the outer court, they were the most abundant of all as their numbers reached more than a thousand.
Above them were the 2nd class disciples at the inner court or more specifically in the middle part of the mountain.
They were less in numbers compared to the outer court as they numbered just a few above a hundred.
They were also the more talented ones as it takes quite a lot of effort to be one.
One would need to first be selected as the head disciple of the outer court then when you're ready, you will need to take another examination held by the elder herself to prove if you're worthy.
Then, much higher than them were the core disciples and there were only a few of them, their numbers didn't even reach 25 people and they were the strongest out of all the disciples in the mountain.
They were respected and admired especially those who are higher in rank. That's right, each peak has its own ranking from 2nd class disciples and core disciples.
Naturally, since there are rankings in each peak there are also rankings amongst the peaks.
Except for the medicine and formation peak, all of the peaks compete in a yearly tournament to decide which peak has the strongest disciples.
Of course, the tournament was separated and the 2nd class disciples and first class disciples have their own tournament.
Anyway, returning back to the Sword Peak up in the highest part of the mountain where the elder stayed.
Yin Meira could be seen practicing with her sword as she dances with elegance against the wind up in the mountain peak.
"Moonlight Sword Arts: Moon Slash!"
She suddenly used her sword technique and yelled out. Soon, a silver slash came from her attack and pierced through the clouds.
She unsheathed her blade and rested for the day as she returned to where her master stayed.
Currently, she was the elder's personal disciple, Elder Yao offered her to become one when she saw her talent with her own eyes.
The girl before her had a body perfectly meant for the sects signature sword technique, a body that's very compatible with the Yin element. How could she ever let this opportunity go to make her, her very own disciple?
And so for the past few weeks, Yin Meira had been working hard in training with the sword in order not to disappoint her master.
As for Yin Meru, he often visits her only to tease her the moment he sees her. Of course, the only reason he was allowed to visit was because he was her brother.
"Hey there big sister! It seems that you've become stronger since the last time I saw you."
He was flabbergasted by her sister's improvement in the sword but he only thought it was to be expected as she was his sister.
After all, he himself was the personal disciple of the elder in Archer Peak. This was also one of the reasons he was allowed here.
Yin Meira didn't reply to his words and only gave him a nod before sitting down and drinking the tea on the table.
It was cold at the peak of the mountain so the tea soothed her body and a warm feeling flowed down her throat to her stomach as she drank the tea.
"What are you here for?" Yin Meira asked before sipping on the cup. "If you're here to tease me again, go away."
Yin Meru wryly smiled as her sister already guessed what he was for. It was to be expected as he kept doing it every time he came here. So even if her sister knew, it didn't stop him from teasing her.
"Big sis, I heard that Siphyr had a girlfriend."
"Puhaaa! W- What do you mean he has a girlfriend?! Ah! Forget everything I've said, It seems that I blurted out something unnecessary, so it'd be best if you act like nothing happened."
"Or shall I make you forget myself?"
Yin Meru felt a chill run down his spine hearing his sister's threatening words. Even though he had expected her reaction, it was much more exaggerated this time, especially since it was about her crush having a girlfriend.
'But she wouldn't even admit it. It was very clear that she took interest in him ever since their encounter and she hasn't gotten him out of her mind since then.'
'What a troublesome sister, it seems that I have to push her myself or someone will take him before she even realizes her feelings.'
Yin Meru proudly thought of himself as a good brother helping his inexperienced and dishonest sister about love.
That's why he immediately came here after hearing about the rumors of the Spear Peak's outer court head disciple's girlfriend.
"Alright, I'll pretend I didn't see anything but aren't you curious if the rumors are really true?"
"Hmmm... If you came here to inform me with that unpleasant rumor then get on with it and don't waste my time." She said coldly but everyone that could see her right now would know that she's interested.
Yin Meru grinned, "It seems that the rumor is indeed true, after all I've seen them myself." He shrugged.
"Oh..." Though her words seem uninterested and her smile innocent, her expression clearly wasn't.
She sipped her tea to calm herself and spoke. "Is that all? Then, you can leave now." She gestured for him to leave and Yin Meru abided.
"Sister, I think you should be more honest with your feelings." He said before rushing down the mountain in case her sister got angry.
But Yin Meira only sighed at his words which had a point. 'Maybe his right, I should be more honest with my feelings.' She thought.
"However... I don't even know how I fell in... In love with him. It's because of that foolish brother of mine who keeps reminding me of him and now his stuck on my mind."
"Because of that I've only been thinking of him, and the tingling sensation I felt when I met his gaze that seemed to pierce my soul at our first encounter always appears in my head."
"Is this what they call that unreasonable thing love at first sight? I haven't believed in that nonsense ever since I was a child but it seems it has some truths."
"However it looks like he already has a lover and there is no place for me anymore in his heart."
"If that is so....."
"Then, I'll just have to make one, shall I?"
Her words were firm and filled with pride as if she didn't want to lose. She was beautiful, smart, and talented ever since she was a child.
This caused her to receive many attentions and praises ever since she was young raising her ego and pride.
Now that she's fallen in love for the first time with a man, no matter the reason, why would she ever let him go?
She is a woman full of pride, of course it was natural for her to give it her all to get what she wants with fair means.
Despite her uninterested behavior in front of her brother that was all an act, she was already planning everything to make Siphyr fall for her.
She will make Siphyr hers and even if she has to share with others....
"I shall at least be his number one, isn't that right?" She laughed and it echoed up above the mountain.
He had made her fall for him and to her it was natural for him to take responsibility.
She was arrogant inside and her outer persona was merely a facade.
That's why she'll do anything to win him over.
If Siphyr was here and knew of her thoughts, he would've felt nostalgic and seen a certain girl's prideful personality overlapped with hers.
To him it had already became normal for him to meet girls with eccentric personalities, especially since he was surrounded by some ever since he was young.
He had known of their love for him but he didn't show it on the outside, after all it would've been troublesome and it would ruin his unbothered life in the mansion.
Well, except for Diane and the triplets, they were a special exception to him.
