The moment my arrows shot from the crude bow, they creaked from the force as my arrows all shot towards their targets with a scream that slightly hurt my ears. As the world slowed down, I noticed, for some reason, all the girls moved close to their normal speed.
However, I couldn't focus due to the feeling of mana being drained, causing immense pleasure to flood my mind and body as I watched four goblin heads explode from my charged multishot.

"Haa...."
"Sylvia, block to your right and charge forward." My eyes could see a group of warriors behind the door of a small building, their hearts beating loudly as trails of blood lead my eyes and nose to their location.
"Rena, destroy the goblins as you are!"
Rena didn't need any help as her body was like a fortress, smashing them with her black heroic mace, crushing their bones and smashing their faces and honestly, she was killing them faster than anyone else.

Her body obeyed me as she let out a rather erotic moan and crushed two goblins with her steel shield and sliced through the throats of another four goblins that dropped with a heavy thud, bleeding onto the dirt and forming a dark red sludge.

I felt like a true vampire in this moment before knocking another two arrows and stepping forward, locking onto the distant goblin archers like a crimson-eyed reaper.
We fought hard for close to an hour, slaying goblins like cabbages, but it felt different.
The small village was so difficult in the past, but this one, we had almost killed over one hundred of them, and apart from a bit of sweat and fatigue, there were no problems...
It was strange!

"Aki, they are dead!" Rena rushed over to me with a brilliant smile, and my eyes were constantly searching for an enemy, seeing if I could lock on to some kind of hidden threat or danger...
But nothing.
"Good work!"
I turned to face Sylvia, who was now completely feral with her furry ears and tail covered in goblin blood and her eyes with a dark grey colour no longer turning golden due to losing her blessing.
Ba-Dump
Ba-Dump
My heart was beating so loud, and my senses felt like something was wrong!
There was a whistle on the wind, like heavy objects falling at rapid speed, their direction was towards us...
Wait!?
"Get down!"
I screamed my loudest, but the huge rocks were thrown from the top of a small hilltop. More than seven rocks the size of a small hut were tossed towards our position. As the howling became a roar, my body moved faster than the others, pushing their bodies out of the range of each boulder.
"Haa..."
"Aki!?"
"Master!!"
"Wuuuwu!!" (Idiot! Dodge!)
Shit... I used too much power to push them to safety...
I lowered my body, tensing and putting all the power I could in my arms, waist and upper body, narrowing my figure as I pulled back my arm.
Power, give me the power to survive this barrage.
A red bloody aura began to ooze from my skin, covering both my arms and chest, a sense of fury and bloodthirsty filling my mind as the beating of my heart slowed down, the world and everything around me moving a touch slower.
I could dodge two of the boulders, but the last I needed to take with my body.
So I will punch it! Like my hero, Chris blufild.
[Sylvia Argent's Respect for you has increased greatly!]
Twisting my hips, I stepped to the right, pushing off the ground as one boulder crashed beside me.
"Ugh..."
Gadan!
The ground caused my feet to leave the ground from the force, creating a deep crater as the rock exploded and tore apart my cheek and left arm.
Thud!
Rolling my hips and twirling to the right, I dodged the second one cleanly as I lowered myself, using the momentum of my twirl to increase the force of my punch, the red aura now completely wrapped around my fist as I punched out towards the last boulder that was aimed at me.
Boom!
A dozen boulders destroyed the village as if to completely erase its existence as my fist collided with the last one.
[Sylvia Argent's Respect for you has increased greatly! Her heart is racing at your heroic image!]
Crack!
My wrist fractured as the pain exploded throughout my entire body, my fist and forearm shattering with the sound of glass shattering as my blood splattered everywhere before the boulder cracked into pieces, scattering across the ground.
Damn... That hurts...
My knees buckled as my body almost fell, but I refused! I wanted to look cool, to pretend I endured and stood tall as the feeling in my left arm became vague, and my shoulder felt nothing but a dull pain.
The last whisp of pathetic manly pride that my original self couldn't let go refused to show an uncool part here, panting heavily as my blood dripped onto the dirt below.
I felt like this was the moment I could say goodbye to my uncool self.
After all, I was Akira now.
A vampire!
Not that pathetic boy who could do nothing... I'm so cool...
"Aki!! Are you okay?"
Rena rushed over, gripping my broken left arm tightly, but I hid the pain and smiled, groping her buttocks with my other hand while looking at the Yuzu and Sylvia, who had shining eyes.
"Let's leave the range of their catapult first, okay?"
They nodded while Sylvia looked at my hand and face before showing a strange smirk and rushing off, followed by Rena, but Yuzu didn't leave my side and came close, holding my shattered hand and gently kissing it; her soft tongue seemed to help heal it rapidly, as the woman who looked older than me and Rena started to suck on my fingers...
This was probably a mistake... but it felt awesome.
Also, that catapult must belong to stronger goblins or orcs, which means we need to prepare properly...
Or run...
Probably running...
We definitely need to run, haha.

Two hours after the attack from the catapult, we rested and healed before searching around for any core or items, destroying any goblins that were hiding.
"It seems that they all left..." Rena said while I was sitting down after being scolded by her after she asked why I was carrying Yuzu like a princess and she was licking my arm.
"They likely retreated because of losing this base," I responded, ignoring Rena's pout as she collected some of the dropped cores; sadly, the boulders destroyed many of them, meaning we would lose some money, but I wasn't too bothered.
The battle taught me many things that sometimes my abilities are not enough, and my eyes and limits were found in this battle...
I am not a god or a hero, but I could get stronger... A soft hand held my repaired arm before a soft, melodic voice sounded.
"Akira, you were so cool when punching that big rock!" Yuzu is too cute, and since she helped heal my wound, she hasn't let me go, her soft lips stained with my blood...
"I will admit it was rather manly..." The damn tsundere knight said with her face looking away, trying to hide her blushing face and the throbbing heart in her chest from a vampire!
Rena rushed over with a slightly dirty face, but her hands held a thick sack, likely containing all the cores.
"Akira, we have more than fifty lesser cores and thirty small cores."
The going rate for Lesser Cores in the town was two copper, and small were eight copper when we left.. so we earned quite a lot, I think.
"That's about thirty-four silver..." Sylvia nodded with a proud look before looking at me with a strange look.
"For a low-rank quest, that is very good, and if we trade the ears and fangs, we will likely earn close to fifty silver in total."
What made me wonder was why I didn't get a new skill when everything became slow and that crimson aura... shouldn't it be an active ability?
[It's not...]
[That's just you using the limit of your vampiric muscles and abilities for the first time.]
[Congratulations!]
