In a different realm known as Heaven, divine beings ruled. This was a place where immortality was a natural state, and these divine beings lived known as a gods and goddesses by the mortals.
While mortals inhabited the lower dimensions, subject to the laws created by these higher-dimensional beings, Kurayami is also considered immortal, albeit in a different manner. He resided in the mortal world, bound by the laws of a System, a fragment of the mother of creation.
The immortality of those in Heaven differed somewhat from Kurayami's brand of immortality. In Heaven, divine beings could not die from aging, lack of sleep, or starvation. However, they were susceptible to death by a god-slaying weapon.
When they perished in this manner, they would revive after a period of ten years, retaining their power and they also experience emotions like human do such as fear, pain, wrath, hatred, jealousy, and lust.
