Tsubaki woke up in a cold sweat. He hold his face and tried to remember his dream but nothing. He tried to start his morning by dressing up. He went down stairs and went to the dining room, seeing his mom.
Tsubaki : "Good morning mom"
Mrs. Asahina: "Good Morning Tsu-Tsu" (in a good mood)
Tsubaki: "You seem so cheery today"
Mrs. Asahina: "Ohhhh Natsume will be bringing his girlfriend over for dinner and Minami wil also come over also . And when will you mention Emma. Last night, you haven't mention her name once"
Tsubaki: "Ohhhh(sarcastic) Karen will be here. Whats the occasion?"
Mrs. Asahina: "Its a surprise!! (joyfull tone of voice) Again don't change the topic. Are you even inviting her along tonight?"
Tsubaki: "Ahm ahm ... this is so last minute. Me and Emma ahm ahm..." He tried to leave the room
Mrs. Asahina: "You can't hide anything from Mina-chan. She's like family and family tells each others secret"
Tsubaki: "Mother, theres nothing wrong between me and Emma. We are just friends and Mina-chan has nothing..."
Mrs. Asahina: interrupted Tsubaki " friends is that what you call it right now. They are in the same age and if I remember correctly they know each other. Wait, they're best friends. Tsubaki Asahina I don't meddle in your life but her Mina-chan your DEAD" (serious tone)
Tsubaki left speechless. Thinking of the words his mom just said.
Tsubaki left his home,thinking Minami will be there and Emma. He felt a bit of coldness on his neck. Emma and MInami are best friends at the same age. (hehehe you all know what does that mean Emma is also a junior of Tsubaki in middle school... ) Questions will be asked. He took his phone and dialed.
Later this evening, Tsubaki and Emma are about to enter the house. Tsubaki suddenly hold Emma's arm.
Tsubaki: "I almost forgot Minami is back"
Emma : (giggling) "I know hehe..we met this afternoon before we met Tsubaki"
Tsubaki: "what and you didnt tell me!?"
Emma: "I mentioned it to you last night. Me and Mina-chan will meet. Did you forget "
Tsubaki: The hell (pissed)
He tried to recall the conversation last night. It was a lost cause.
Tsubaki opened the door, surprisingly he saw Karen. Immediately he gets pissed off. Karen is a tall slim woman.They known each other since elementary and Tsubaki was surprised that Karen and Natsume started dating since college.
Tsubaki: "Emma look theres a witch" (sarcastic)
Emma: "Good Evening Karen-senpai"
Karen: Hey Minami, look whose here! (a smirk on her face)
Tsubaki was puzzled with her reaction. As they entered the corridor the living room door opened and a sucker punch hit Tsubaki's stomach. A demo-form appeared. Breaking that form was a hug of Emma.
Emma: MINA-CHAN ... i miss you!!
Minami: its like we didnt see each other awhile ago
MInami shielded Emma from Tsubaki
Minami: " YOU BEAST HOW DARE YOU!!!"
Tsubaki puzzled: " Beast me?"still hurt from the puch and no one tried to care
Minami : "Emma told me everything!! YOU BEAST !!!"
Tsubaki felt he knows what she means.
Minami: " YOU HEARTLESS MAN YOU GUYS ARE BOTH DATING AND YOU DONT EVEN KNOW. YOU DO SOME ADVANCES TOWARDS HER AND YOU ACT NOTHING HAPPENED!!"
Emma tried to calm her down.
Emma: "Mina-chan please calm down. You promised me you won't get mad"
The whole evening was awkward. Minami tries not to notice Tsubaki. Tsubaki confuse why would Emma tell Minami everything. He felt a sudden guilt. It was a celebration for Natsume and Karen's engagement but the room was filled with awkwardness. Minami left earlier than expected. Leaving Tsubaki no chance of explaining his side.
When Tsubaki and Emma left the house just to bring her home.
Tsubaki in a cold voice : " Why the hell did you do that for??"
Emma in defense: " why didn't you tell Minami. You had your chance to tell your side of the story"
Tsubaki punched the wall in anger.
Tsubaki : "Of all people, you know Minami is like a sister to me and telling her what I do to you is not her business. "
Emma scared: "Tsubaki you love right . You said that once right. You never felt anything like this only to me right??" Emma's voice is going down on tears
Tsubaki realized he made her cried. He hugged her right away. Apologizing on what happened.
